The 2021 Comprehensive Plan Update
Virginia Counties are required to update their Comprehensive Plan every five years, and Greene County last updated its Plan in 2016. A Comprehensive Plan sets the framework for how land is used, identifies improvements to the transportation networks and provides a useful guide for many other County programs and needs.
The 2021 update to Greene County’s Comprehensive Plan will provide a new vision and set of goals for future growth and development, review and potential revise the future land use map, and make recommendations for implementation, focusing on planning and funding strategies.
